Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Dylan Ulry, sole trader trading as Heirloom Turntables, 118 Rue des Peintres, 69480 Anse, France (SIRET 982 367 286 00027). Email: contact@heirloomturntables.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit heirloomturntables.com or place an order, why, and what your rights are under the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the EU GDPR.

What we collect

  • Order and contact details: name, delivery and billing address, email, phone number, and what you ordered.
  • Payment details: processed by our payment providers (Shopify Payments and PayPal). We never see or store your full card number.
  • Messages: what you write to us by email or through the contact form.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

Why we use it

  • To process and deliver your order, send you order and tracking emails, and handle returns and guarantee claims (performance of the contract).
  • To answer your questions (legitimate interest).
  • To keep accounting and tax records for the period required by French law (legal obligation).
  • To send our newsletter, only if you subscribed, and you can unsubscribe at any time from the link in each email (consent).
  • To run and secure the website, measure how it is used and, if you accept cookies, show relevant advertising (consent for non-essential cookies).

Who we share it with

Shopify International Limited (Ireland), which hosts the store and processes orders and payments; our payment providers; the carriers who deliver your parcel; Google, for analytics and advertising measurement if you accept cookies. Each of them processes your data only to provide its service to us. We do not sell personal data.

Transfers outside the UK and EU

Some providers, including Shopify, may process data in countries outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses approved by the UK and EU authorities.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for 10 years as required by French accounting law. Contact messages are kept for 3 years after our last exchange. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Cookie data is kept for no longer than 13 months.

Cookies

Essential cookies make the shop and checkout work and cannot be switched off. Analytics and advertising cookies are set only if you accept them in the cookie banner, where you can change your choice at any time.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, object to or restrict its processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to contact@heirloomturntables.com and we reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) in the UK or to the CNIL (cnil.fr) in France.

Changes

We will update this page if our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top.
