Our story

It started with three boxes in a loft.

Heirloom Turntables began with a late grandfather's jazz records and nothing in the house fit to play them.

The shops offered two choices: plastic players that wear records out, or hi-fi systems that come with a manual. We wanted the thing in between — a turntable that sounds good, looks good and is kind to records you can't replace.

How we work

Heirloom Turntables is run by Dylan Ulry from Anse, near Lyon, in France. We keep the range small, choose turntables with proper cartridges and built-in speakers, pack every order ourselves and ship it tracked to the UK. Every question is answered by email within one working day.

    You cannot judge a turntable online, so try it on your own records. Thirty days to decide, with a prepaid returns label if it is not right.

    The records that matter deserve more than a heavy needle. Every model has a proper cartridge or stylus, named on its product page, so your records are played rather than worn.
